Who We Are
My first pottery wheel class was a floundering and intimidating experience. I was determined Clay’n Around would not be that for you. Everyone and every level of experience is welcome. Class sizes are small. Instructors will know you and your work and kindly, patiently and happily support you as you grow as an artist. Teens and children are welcome too. The space is relaxing, spacious and beautiful. A welcoming and supportive studio - a creative home - is the essential magic you need…and you will find it at Clay’n Around Pottery Studio.
Great thought, talent and sweat of St. Johnsbury’s finest craftsmen and women - Jeff Paine, Vange Morse & Eric Corliss - went into building Clay’n Around. Beneath layers of grime and oddities, a tilting wall maze and pure electrical confusion, these folks painstakingly resurrected 443 Railroad Street and brought my vision of a peaceful boutique pottery studio, elegant candle-making workshop and modern makers space/art gallery to life. Thank you truly my talented friends - St. Johnsbury is a more beautiful and creative place because of you!
