Join this intermediate level wheel class focused on making teapots.
Teapots are a great challenge - each one has at least four separate components: the body, the lid, the spout, and a handle. We will explore ways to make and assemble all of these parts, noting functional and aesthetic considerations as we go.
Each class will include a live demonstration and time to work on projects with instructor support.
This class will use both the pottery wheel and some hand-building/altering techniques.
Being able to center clay and pull cylinders on the wheel is a prerequisite as our primary focus is on what happens after those steps.
A great series to build upon foundational skills and explore possibilities!
Details:
$250 Members / $275 Students
Each class is 3-hours including cleanup.
